The Icelandic Film School offers a 2-year practical education in four different departments, all taught in English. By specializing immediately from the first semester, students can, from the start, build their skillset to grow and shine.

The program is in parts on-hands and practical and students work on a variety of individual projects as well as lending their strength to their fellow students.
Learn to producing and directing for film and TV. Direct your own films.
​
During the course of the program, students produce music videos, commercials, documentary, multi-cam show and 7 short films.
Cinematography, editing, sound & visual effects. All in one department
​
Students produce 6 short projects which they are resposible for the technical aspect for, all the while working with students from other departments on their films.
Learn to write for film, TV and theater. Direct your own scripts.​

During the course of the program students produce at least 7 short films, as well as writing a TV pilot and a Feature Film screenplay
Learn acting for film. Be the lead role in your own films.​
​
Over the course of the program students create 5 short films, theatrical play, a musical as well as starring in their fellow students films.
